On Tuesday May 20, 2020 Abbot Guo Yuan and Venerable Guo Chyi delivered 1,300 surgical masks to a local senior housing facility. Pinecrest Senior Housing is part of the Devon Communities, which offer affordable housing to seniors age 55 and older. Veterans receive a general preference for apartments, and applicants with mobility or visual/hearing impairments are also accepted. The facility was very happy to receive our donation of masks in this time of pandemic, when masks are so necessary for everyone’s safety.
