Driving Directions:
From Newburgh and points East:
Take Rt. 52 West through the town center of Pine Bush. You will see a traffic light
(second traffic light after Route 302) about 2.5 mile past the town center; at the
light, turn right onto Quannacut Road. After 0.8 mile, you will pass 2 stone pillars;
the first house on the right is the Reception Hall.
From Middletown and points South:
Take Rt. 17 West to Rt. 302 North. Turn left at Rt. 52 and follow directions above.
From New Paltz and Points North East:

From Ellenville or points North:
Take Rt. 209 South to Rt. 52 East. Quannacut Road is on the left, after Oregon Trail Rd.
From New York:
We are about ninety miles northwest of Manhattan. One can cross
the George Washington Bridge and take the Palisades Parkway north
to the NY Thruway (Route 87), or directly take the NY Thruway
North from the Triboro Bridge. Exit the NY Thruway at Exit 16
(not 15 or 15A) onto Route 17 toward Harriman (Middletown). About
20 miles later, exit North (Exit 119) onto Highway 302 to Pine
Bush. After about 15 miles turn left at the light, onto Route
52. You will see a traffic light (second traffic light after Route 302)
about 2.5 mile past the town center; at the light, turn right onto
Quannacut Road. After 0.8 mile, you will pass 2 stone pillars; the
first house on the right is the Reception Hall.
Public Transportation:
There are buses and trains serving New York City and Middletown,
NY, which is about 15 miles from the Retreat Center. From Middletown,
you can hire a taxi to the Retreat Center. When major retreats
are held, we will try to arrange for a pick-up at the Middletown
train station on the day the retreat is held (fixed schedule,
to be announced in the acceptance letter). Click here
for more information on public transportation.
For retreats with a large number of participants (normally the
10-Day Intensive Retreats), we may arrange for a bus to take
people to the Retreat Center from the Chan Meditation Center
in Queens, New York. Such an option, when available, is indicated
in the online application form. The fee for this transport arrangement
will also be shown on the form. If the online application
form does not show this option, it is not provided.
